Seniors...
Some thoughts as to where you are at this point.
Cadillac Jones Project:
Due on Wednesday April 11th with John Renaud and members of the band in class to view the work.
I'm excited at how everyone has take to shooting, editing and conceptualizing the films for this music CD.
Please be sure of a few things before you show the work to the client:
1. Make sure you visually address the client with their name/logo or album art in your videos.
They are the client. Don' t be passive about tagging your films to their name or website or facebook site.
This is important that you don't get so caught up in the film that you forget the reason you have created it in the first place.
2. Make sure the content in the films are not offensive in any way after all John is an attorney. He is also a trademark/copyright attorney.
Just don't go there if you are shooting something questionable legally. Remember, what he sees is representative of our program and you.
What might be funny to you might be offensive to someone else. Just be creatively cautious in this project.
I know they will love these films just based on what I've seen already.
If you want to create a poster design to go along with it that would be great.
3. You will need a written creative brief to give to John (and one for me) on Wednesday April 11th.
4. You will also need to package the video to give to him for use. Think about format.
You might want to do several (web and other)
Please don't post anything final on YouTube or Vimeo until he sees them and gives the okay.
Resumes/Business Cards/ Envelopes/Letterhead
These are due (printed versions) on Monday April 9th.
They don't have to be the final versions but I need to have copies to review and then I can give you back some notes/suggestions.
1. letterhead
2. business cards (front and back design)
3. envelope
4. Resume on your letterhead or another pre-designed page.
5. Typed letter on your Letterhead so we can see what a letter might look like. signature and all.
After the Cadillac Jones Project you will have additional class time to prepare for your reviews.
We will do practice reviews in class soon. If you would like to volunteer let me know otherwise I will choose several of you to demonstrate the time/mock exit review.
